Material : Tantalum 10% Tungsten alloy wire
Introduction :
Tantalum 10% tungsten alloy wire is tantalum alloy containing nominally 90% tantalum and 9-11% tungsten, currently, it can sometimes replace tantaloy "61" metal wire or NRC91 ( 92.5% tantalum and 7.5% tungsten alloy wire). It has attractive high-temperature mechanical properties, high density, high strength, good toughness, strong stiffness and excellent corrosion resistance especially in acids, except hydrofluoric acid (HF acid). It was developed for use as a spring material or for other elastic parts which must operate under chlorinating, brominating, or severe acid conditions. this alloy is machinable, can be formed within limits in the annealed condition, and can be resistance welded to itself or joined to nickel, platinum, tantalum and titanium by several conventional welding processes. The tensile and yield strengths and the torsional modulus of Tantalum alloy wire are much higher than that of pure tantalum under corresponding conditions.

Physical & Mechanical property :
Can meet with the requirements of spring wire.
Size : Dia 0.15mm up to 6.0mm x coils (at random length).
Tantalum tungsten alloy(Ta-W alloy) of high density 16.90 g/cc. It was now developed for use as a spring material or for other elastic parts which must operate under chlorinating or severe acid conditions. It is produced by a powder metallurgical process and features:
(1) Outstanding corrosion resistance to chlorine, bromine and inorganic acids (except HF),
(2) High strength and springiness which are retained at high temperatures under vacuum and
(3) Remarkable dimensional stability even when thermally cycled to 2400 F (1315 C) in vacuum.
Its combination of mechanical and anti-corrosion properties has led to extensive use for making Check valve spring, Compression spring, Ejector spring, Ejector check valve spring, Inlet spring, Main regulating spring, Regulating valve spring, Regulator valve spring, Regulator adjusting spring, Relief spring, Pressure spring-relief, Spring, ejector, etc., in the chlorinators/regulators (gas chlorination) in water and wasterwater treatment.
Keywords: Metal, Nonferrous alloy, Refractory alloy,Tantalum alloy, Miscellaneous tantalum alloy.
Application : 10% tungsten, 90% tantalum alloy (tantalum spring wire, tantaloy or tantalloy) wire is used to make tantalum alloy springs(tantalloy spring or tantalum spring) such as a lifetime warranteed main regulating spring in the vacuum regulator, tantallum alloy inlet valve springs and ejector spring in chlorine control valve of gas chlorinator for the water and wastewater treatment industry. its combination of mechanical and anti-corrosion properties has led to extensive use for chlorinator valve springs.
Tantalum alloy wire is used for springs and spring material for chlorinator valves. It is also used for chemical process equipment including heating and cooling coils, heat exchangers, condensers, reaction vessels, leaf springs and bellows. it can fully meet the requirement of NRC91 or FANSTEEL 61 METAL (High-Strength Corrosion-Resistant Refractory Alloy) is a high-density, high-strength alloy developed for use as a tantaloy spring or tantalum alloy (tantalloy) spring material.
Tantalloy metal wire is also stronger and more resilient than that tantalum wire and hastelloy wire.
